Advertising policy

Advertising must stay secondary to the tool workflow.

FreeToolsBox is built around focused tools, guides, and local-first safety boundaries. This policy defines where advertising may appear in the future and where it should never appear.

No ads on noindex inventory

Experimental tools, Labs, and consolidated inventory hubs remain ad-free unless they are deliberately promoted through the quality gate.

No ads inside tool inputs or results

Tool input areas, generated output, file drop zones, and copy controls should remain clear of ad placements so the workflow stays usable.

Content before monetization

Guides and core tools must remain useful without advertising. Advertising must never replace examples, warnings, privacy notes, or instructions.

Mobile first

Ads should not push the main purpose of a page below the fold on small screens or create accidental taps near primary controls.

Reviewable by audit

Advertising behavior is controlled by environment flags and checked with audit scripts before deployment.

Placement boundaries

Where ads are allowed after approval

Potentially acceptable: low-interruption placements after guide introductions, after completed explanations, or below core tool education sections.
Not acceptable: tool input panels, result panels, file drop zones, copy buttons, noindex pages, Labs, or mobile first-screen controls.

Audit posture

Advertising changes must be testable.

Before deployment, the ad audit checks that review-mode defaults remain conservative and that noindex inventory stays outside advertising surfaces. The policy is intentionally stricter than simply placing ad slots wherever they fit visually.
