Consolidated formatting workflow

Code Formatters Workbench

A planned hub for CSS, HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, SVG, and entity cleanup tasks that are stronger as a formatter workflow than as separate thin pages.

Inventory status: this hub is intentionally noindex, ad-free, and excluded from the sitemap while its legacy tools are consolidated into a stronger workflow.

Quality gate

What must happen before promotion

  • Clear separation between format, minify, escape, and conversion tasks.
  • Examples for copied snippets, config files, SQL queries, and SVG assets.
  • Language-specific warnings instead of generic formatter copy.
  • No ads and no sitemap entry while formatter depth is being consolidated.

Governance rules

How this protects site quality

  • Only promoted focused core tools are indexable tool pages; new candidates move into sitemap only after a manual quality gate.
  • Hub pages are noindex, ad-free, and excluded from sitemap until they replace multiple legacy pages with a real workflow.
  • Labs is noindex and reserved for experimental or broad utilities that should not dilute the core directory.
  • Legacy one-off pages stay noindex, ad-free, and out of public navigation unless they are promoted through the quality gate.
  • No page can move into sitemap without examples, edge-case notes, privacy guidance, accessible controls, and a related concept guide.

Future path

Can be promoted after it provides real formatter workflows, examples, and error handling beyond the legacy pages. CSS Formatter has been promoted separately because it now has selector inventory and cascade review.
